Hi, I’m Jordana.

I am a Doctoral trained Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with 20 years of health care experience and 16 years of psychopharmacology and psychotherapy expertise.

I received my Doctorate and Master’s degrees from the prestigious Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) IHP in Boston. I provide a safe environment and partnership with my clients. I customize pharmaceutical and therapy solutions based on individual needs.

I began my career at MGH in 2002 as a researcher investigating the neural pathways of thought disorders and the brilliant mind. I became fascinated with restructuring negative thought patterns and enhancement of cognitive abilities, and was inspired to transition from research to clinical practice.

My vast experiences as a researcher, nurse, clinical nurse specialist, and nurse practitioner inform my understanding of human emotions and enhance my ability to diagnose and manage various psychological and psychiatric conditions.

I have expertise in treating insomnia, depression, generalized anxiety (worry), panic disorder, OCD, specific phobias, attentional disorders (ADHD), addictions, disordered eating, bipolar I and II disorders, and long Covid (PASC).

I am trained in CBT, CBT-I, motivational interviewing, perinatal care, mindful parenting, couples solutions, executive, date and health coaching. I focus on creating a warm therapeutic environment where clients are free to share their inner experience and emotions. Using an eclectic approach which incorporates holistic and psychopharmacology techniques, I work with clients across the lifespan, including adolescents, adults, those who are considering pregnancy, pregnant, breast, bottle, formula feeding, and of course geriatric patients or those with various medical conditions. I also work to decrease the discomfort of perimenopause and menopause and optimize longevity with the assistance of HRT (hormone replacement therapy). I recognize that medications affect everyone differently, and customize treatment for each individual client. My main goal is to maximize treatment benefits with minimal side effects. I also customize treatments for mindful eating and weight management coaching.

I am a native New Yorker and relocated back to NYC in 2010 to join the National Health Service Corp. I worked full time at NYU Langone’s Brooklyn campus with underserved clients from 2010 to 2016. I continue to work at NYU Langone Hospital’s Brooklyn campus.

Outside my practice, I am an active member of the NYC medical community, and am committed to sharing knowledge and providing services for various organizations.

  • I was a board member of Nurse Practitioners of NY from 2010-2019.

  • I was the Chair of the Educational Committee and strive to bring continuing education to primary care and specialty health care professionals in the NYC area.

  • I have lectured to numerous primary care practitioners on psychopharmacological therapies. I have taught numerous medical and nursing students since 2007 and have lectured at NYU Langone, One Medical and various perinatal practices.
